Poorvaranga was initiated with the objective of preserving and propagating the arts and crafts. The space is the registered office for the foundation and is used for regular classes in performing arts.
Poorvaranga also houses Kalakosha – a digital archive geared towards strengthening art related research. Physical artefacts in the form of costumes, jewellery, accessories, props, puppets, masks, photographs and bio profiles are a big part of the collection. This invaluable archive is available to research scholars and young artists pursuing academic research of any kind.
